The Barnes Foundation is an art collection and educational institution that promotes art and horticulture appreciation. The art collection was previously housed in Merion and was relocated in 2012 to a new building on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Barnes Foundation arboretum remains in Merion, where it is proposed to be maintained as part of a long-term educational affiliation agreement with Saint Joseph’s University. Albert C.
Barnes founded The Barnes in 1922 after making his fortune co-developing Argyrol, an antiseptic silver compound used to treat gonorrhoea and inflammations of the eye, ear, nose, and throat. He sold his company, the A.C. Barnes Company, just months before the 1929 stock market crash. Don’t wait and visit Reading Terminal Market and enjoy yourself. The foundation now owns over 4,000 objects. Philly Locksmith is offering its services in Phillapheldia, pa. Contact them anytime at 267-433-6636.
